Yuma Proving Ground is testing a new system to help pilots see terrain better through
heavy dust clouds.

Called the "Sandblaster Program," the system integrates a new 'see-through' sensor with data
on terrain and obstacles, creating a highly detailed three-dimensional view of the landing area for the pilot, regardless of the conditions
outside the helicopter.
